Anoka Fall Family Session

Hello again! It’s eleven p.m. and here I am–alone, on the couch, with a candle and Christmas tree lit on either side of me. I have Hulu, and a snoring dog, and I couldn’t be happier in this moment. Things are mellow, things are calm, and I can finally get this gorgeous family up on the blog. 🙂 The last time I worked with these guys was a few years ago–and, it is absolutely amazing how much kids change over the course of a few years. (I mean, I KNOW this–but it’s always amazing to see it. ❤ ) The kids went from tiny to teen. We roamed through Anoka and grabbed some beautiful photos, using the colors around us. About one week after this session all of the leaves were off the trees–our timing was good. Anyway, here are  few of my favorites from the day…

As I mentioned above, it had been a bit since I worked with this family and we thought is would be fun to try to recreate this shot from last time. Sadly, the side of the building that had all of the cool vine last time was trimmed up–so, we shot on the other side instead (despite the bright sun). The kids were a bit more eager to do this last time–this time, I could feel the eye rolls as I shot away. 😀 (I have a teen–I completely get it.)
