All right, so, like…five years into my business, I’ve decided that I really DO need a logo. I’ve wanted one for awhile time now, but I don’t know…I guess I just haven’t really loved anything. My work has, very clearly, lead me to working with, and photographing, both families, and small businesses. With families, the goal is to document their growth; with small businesses, the goal is to help them grow. With both, however, the common denominator is growth. SO…I wanted some sort of logo that would symbolize growing–hence where the tree idea stemmed from. (Or grew from; or branched out from; or, maybe even sprouted from. Yup. I’m all business today. If I got paid in pun’s, I’d have a few extra bucks right about now.)
Anyway, so, these were put together. I am leaning toward using the middle tree–it has a bit more ‘artsy’ of a feel, which feels a bit more like me. The other ones are awesome, too…and, may be used in other ways. What do you think?
This one…the Airship, is just my favorite thing ever. I have it on business cards already. I think it may come out on my personal projects, more than client work.
And, these will be used in addition to the trees. They look nice on the bottom of a photo, as a watermark; they tend to blend in, while also standing out. I’m not much of a water marker and I don’t anticipate me being much of one in the future either; but, a lot of my business momentum is in creating a brand lately, so I think this is an important step. Seems logical anyway. The one on the top is my favorite. They coordinate beautifully with my trees…so, I’m happy.
Anyway…this is all I came here to say today. To make tree puns, and talk logo’s. Next up, answer emails, rent a lens, stare at Lightroom for a few hours, and then make sure all my gear is charged, put together, and ready to go for a weekend of shooting. Exciting, huh!?
I love the middle one the best as well. That air ship is fantastic (a bit busy for a logo maybe – but so cool!) Congrats!! 🙂
